I haven't been on here in a while, and I'd really like to start blogging again. I recently read my previous blog posts, and I think I'm going evolve into something more along the lines of what I want to do with this blog.
I want to continue to do movie reviews, but I want to do away with the categories that I use. When I do my next review, it will be just an overall review with me giving my opinion on what I really liked or didn't like.
Now for the shakeup: I want to start reviewing beer too. For those of you that have been to my house, you know that I've saved over 180 different beer bottles. I've probably tried at least another 200. I've been to countless breweries throughout all of my travels, and been to two Extreme Beer Fests in Boston. Beer tasting has become kind of a pseudo-hobby, to the point where my friends make fun of the fact that I smell and check the color/clarity of every new beer I drink. I'd like to use my beer experience to let you all know about new/good beers that I'd like to share.
I'd like to think that I know a lot about what I'm going to review, but unfortunately that's not the case. I only know what I like, and can only go off of what I've experienced. I'm not one to use crazy ways of describing beers (like: "hints of floral tones, honey at the finish") or movies ("the underlying motive of the movie was produce sadness and personal reflection"). I just want to give you guys a real review from a real person.
As far as the stories from TDY go, I will try and keep that up as well. As I looked back at my earlier posts, it turned out that most of them were movie reviews. I should either focus more on the story aspect of the blog, or change the theme and name. I'll keep the options open, and hopefully will follow and like my new direction.
So, I will save this as my "first" new post of a new site.
